What Do I Learn?

The easiest way to describe what we learn is to use the diagram below. We use a staged process, and you get signed off from each section when you have completed the learning objectives. Once signed off, you move to the next stage.

From a practical point of view, our associates will drive with one of our Tutors usually once a fortnight from one of our centres. These sessions normally start with a short group theory discussions and this is followed by a drive which lasts anywhere between 45 and 60 minutes.

There are 6 different phases in the training (as shown above), and during the drive your tutors will offer you guidance and support based on the training stage you are at.

It may sound very formal, but it’s not. All our tutors will do their very best to put you at your ease and make the training enjoyable for you.

At the end of your training, you’ll be able to take the advanced driving test with RoSPA. Once passed, you’ll normally retake your test every three years to keep your driving standard at a high level.
